MTD’s Global Growth Takes Shape

Updated on Wednesday 29 January 2020, 9:14 AM

Only formed in 2018, the MTDCNC.global channel is taking the global manufacturing industry by storm. Despite only being launched 18 months ago and with our content generation still in its infancy stage, we are already being recognised the World over.

We have continually travelled to trade shows all over the globe in 2019; and by attending these events, it’s evident there is a market for a one-stop portal of industry communication, especially from events. This offers a huge opportunity for the MTD brand and it shows there are exciting times ahead for this new global channel.

In 2019, we travelled to events such as EMO, Metalloobrabokra, Blech Expo and Timtos. Added to this, we have visited factories around the world that include Geminis, Correa, OKUMA, DMG MORI, Tornos and more. Even though we are only a few weeks into 2020, we’ve already been to Steelfab in Dubai. This will soon be followed by trips to Metav, MACH, Shenzen and Grindtec to mention a few. In fact, you can now check out our events calendar to see exactly where the team will be travelling to in coming weeks and months.

The MTDCNC.global website is already attracting over 300 visitors per day, a number that equates to roughly 10,000 engineers each month. With the exponential growth of our digital channels, we expect this number of 10,000 to double by the end of 2020. Of course, social media will be the driving force as always. The Facebook page already has 15000 followers, the LinkedIN channel has almost 5000 followers and YouTube has over 20,000 subscribers. The rapidly growing numbers of engineers engaging on social media channels will underpin the organic growth and evolution of not only our MTDCNC.global website, but all our home channels.

MTD.media’s Managing Director, Mr Paul Jones says: “We see the Global channel as a real driver for MTD’s growth in the future. With instant social engagement, the world is becoming smaller and more accessible for engineers. We are at almost every major global exhibition and increasing our presence is a priority in 2020 and beyond. This is because our MTDCNC.global website and social channels are transmitting news, technology, new products and innovation to the global industry before anybody else.”

“Our ability to introduce brands from the furthest reaches of the globe to the content hungry worldwide manufacturing industry, is hugely popular. In every country we are talking to more and more engineers that are watching our channel to see what is at the trade shows without ever visiting. We bring the show, the technology and atmosphere to the global engineering audience. We also host news and encourage suppliers to send this to us, as hosting news is free of charge. Good times are ahead for this channel and by 2023, we project it will be 10 times the size it is now.”
