Quickgrind Opens New Tech Centre

After years of meticulous planning and construction work, cutting tool manufacturer Quickgrind will open its new Technical Centre of Infinite Possibilities at its Tewkesbury headquarters this summer. The new centre for Advanced Machining Strategies will provide an environment to undertake customer training, demonstrations, technical seminars, events and much more.

The Quickgrind slogan of ‘Infinite Possibilities’ will be a step closer to reality for its customer base with a new facility that demonstrates the unparalleled products, services and expertise offered by the Gloucestershire manufacturer. The new Technical Centre will incorporate a 3-axis machining centre as well as a new state of the art 5-axis machining centre that will be installed prior to the grand opening. As well as the two VMC’s, the new Technical Centre will be a hub for innovation partners such as OPEN MIND Cam Software, CG Tech Vericut, Tebis Cam software, SCHUNK, ROMI Machine Tools, Blaser, Biltz, Romheld and Quickvend to pool their resources to develop bespoke customer solutions.

Located within the company’s cutting tool manufacturing plant, the new facility incorporates a shop floor demonstration area, a seminar theatre that can accommodate over 30 people, individual meeting rooms and workstations for CAM strategies and programming. This allows end users to bring their challenging components and part programs to the new facility where the Quickgrind experts from QuickCAM will provide optimised programming and QuickLAB experts can discuss full process analysis of cutting tool performance. With bespoke tooling solutions manufactured on-site, Quickgrind will not only develop the perfect solution to your process, but also the perfect cutting tool.

Conveniently located near Birmingham, Quickgrind is on the direct route to the South West and Wales, situated just two minutes away from both the M5 and M50. With an easily accessible location, the customers of both Quickgrind and its technical partners are cordially invited, to put their cumulative expertise to the test to help manufacturers in their continual drive for production increase and cost benefits.
