New NSK catalog of high speed DIN standard ball screws for machine tools
screws according to the latest generation DIN standard especially suitable for machine tool applications.
With over a century of experience and a wide range of products, NSK is committed to ensuring that customers have easy access to the information they need for each project. The ball screws used in machine tools are essential components, which provide the precise movement and positioning capability necessary for precision machining operations. With the publication of the catalog of the latest generation of DIN standard ball screws, NSK includes fundamental information for machine tool designers.
This catalog provides a series of tips for the design of great utility. By way of example, the differences between the two types of ball recirculation systems available are indicated: ball screw type end deflector and internal deflector type newly developed.
NSK DIN standard ball screws are designed to offer high speed, high load capacities and low noise. In fact, a 1.4 times higher dynamic load can be achieved thanks to the use of NSK’s patented TF steel, historically used in bearings, whose details can be found in the catalog.
NSK’s latest generation ball screws comply with DIN 69051 (ISO 3408) in relation to dimensions and tolerance classes. Manufactured in shaft diameters from 32 to 63 mm, and with thread passages of 10 to 40 mm, the ball screws reach a speed factor of up to 160,000 dn. This level of performance guarantees its suitability in high speed machining applications where a very precise positioning is also required.
A complete set of specifications is included in the catalog, including maximum drive speeds and permitted product dimensions. The catalog, which is already available in English, will soon be available in German, Italian and Spanish.
