The world leader and pioneer of mobile collaborative robotics, the Danish Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), has been awarded the “Best Innovation 2019” Award by the International Logistics and Maintenance Exhibition, held in Barcelona from June 26 to 28 and granted by a unanimity of the jury. Where he presented the latest for Logistics 4.0 with his new MiR1000 robot for applications with pallet.

It is the fastest, most powerful and largest intelligent mobile robot on the market, with a lifting capacity of up to 1000 kg that can automatically collect, transport and deliver pallets. And that like all MiR robots, it moves safely in highly dynamic environments between people and obstacles.

The Secretary of State for Commerce of Spain, Ms. Xiana Margarida Méndez indicated; “We need companies that are committed to innovation to build a high-quality trade network and with this award the magnificent work done in this regard is recognized” and presented this award to Fernando Fandiño, Director of Business Development at MiR for the Southern Europe and MEA, which includes Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, the Middle East and Africa who indicated: “It is a pride and an honor to receive this award in the category of“ Best Innovation ”for our MiR1000 robot for a forum like SIL 2019 that has been an international logistics reference for more than 20 years ”.The Awards Ceremony took place on Friday, June 28 within the framework of the International Logistics Exhibition with prominent authorities such as Mr. Pere Navarro, Special State Delegate in the Conseci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona.

Innovation worldwide

This year’s SIL edition showed the extraordinary applications of this world’s first mobile robot with artificial intelligence (AI) that takes mobile robotics to a new level by improving navigation and optimizing route planning, as its strategically located 3D cameras They function as an extended set of robotic sensors.

This award-winning technology, the most advanced on the market, has its sophisticated software – at a click of a tablet or smartphone – that allows this intelligent robot to see all the obstacles in a 360 ° radius, thus navigating autonomously and finding the most route efficient to its destination, that is, industry 4.0 at the service of the industry.

It has two flexible pallet lifts for the EU pallet and 40 “x 48” pallet, the two most used types of pallets. It can be programmed through the intuitive user interface or through the MiRFleet robot fleet management system , facilitating the automation of new tasks for a company’s entire fleet of robots, as required.
