Tuesday 10 December 2019, 8:28 PM

FAGOR ARRASATE expands its portfolio in the field of forming technology and launches new standard forming presses in the medium press segment worldwide (i.e. with a press force of 6,300 kN, 8,000 kN, and 10,000 kN). In Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the standard forming presses will be automated exclusively by DREHER Automation.

Having signed a cooperation agreement in the area of standard forming presses, FAGOR ARRASATE, one of the world’s leading forming press manufacturers, and DREHER Automation, the European market leader in the field of press automation, are bundling their competencies in a bid to provide the best possible customer performance for a technically and economically optimal overall solution.

The cooperation between the two companies will offer the following advantages to their respective customers:

  • pre-defined standard forming press provided by one of the world market leaders with an integrated press automation concept by a renowned German manufacturer perfectly suited to the forming press,
  • highly productive, reliable, and competitive overall system, suited to most customer applications in market focus,
  • short delivery times and minimal coordination effort thanks to a high degree of cross-company standardisation,
  • comprehensive competencies in German-language consulting for the entire forming process (forming press and press automation),
  • flexibility through various packages which allow adjustments according to customer requirements and/or different production concepts,
  • professional project management, competent order processing, and optimal support during production start-up, naturally also in German,
  • highly effective service with around 40 members of staff in two locations in Germany (in Hilpoltstein for FAGOR ARRASATE and in Sulz am Neckar for DREHER Automation).

Beyond this cooperation, both cooperation partners will remain independent.

Joint market presence with a focus on small and medium-sized companies

The market focus for the new forming press spectrum is the entire supplier market of the automotive industry. The primary focus is on small and medium-sized stamping companies. In addition, new customers in the non-automotive market, particularly in the area of new technologies such as e-mobility, are to be approached and their business acquired.

In the future, the standard forming presses will be marketed in close cooperation through a joint local market presence in Germany.
