A “Technical Pole” Hestika France in Haute-Savoie
A unique building dedicated to customers, at the heart of the world pole of bar turning.
Open Days and inauguration on 27 and 28 November 2019
Saint-Mandé (94), July 24, 2019. Hestika France announces the forthcoming availability of its Technical Center in Ayze (Haute-Savoie). The building, to the size of the Citizen Group and Hestika France, which has been under construction for two years, will be inaugurated at the end of November 2019, as part of Portes-Ouvert Days on November 27 and 28, 2019.
Created in 1971 by Gabriel Palefroy, Hestika France then occupied offices in Paris (19 th ), then acquired a small annex on the side of Cluses (74). Strategic decision related to the machining and bar turning activity in the Rhône-Alpes region and in the Arve Valley. In 1997, Hestika France acquired the premises currently occupied. On two occasions, 1999 and 2006, following the growing success of Citizen machine tool sales, Hestika France decided to expand its premises. The idea is to offer more space to customers at the showroom and technical testing.
In 2012, again to cope with the increase in sales, Hestika France acquired two premises for rent in Cluses, close to its main building. The first is dedicated to stock, accessories and used machines. The second is the new range of Miyano fixed head lathes, integrated in the group 7 years ago – composed of machines of large dimensions, a working capacity in bars from 0 to 80mm and chucks up to 300mm.
A building to the size of the group Citizen and Hestika France
Gilles Palefroy, Managing Director of Hestika France, explains: ” The project of bringing together the three buildings located in Cluses in one, began to take shape three years ago. The decision to build a new building was made in 2017, by mutual agreement between Hestika France, Citizen in England and the group’s headquarters in Japan. The particularly favorable conditions proposed by the Group made this achievement possible. The building, the size of the group Citizen and Hestika France, will be completed in October 2019. »
The location in Ayze has been established by the proximity of customers, the Arve Valley and motorway exits. Not to mention the relatively “green” environment of the new Lake III industrial zone. The Batipro Concept architectural firm project (25) was selected in relation to the aesthetics of the proposed building and its integration into the environment.
On a plot of 5000 m2, the building occupies a total surface of 2000 m2 spread over two levels. The interior design, which is highly focused on internal circulation and logistics, has been designed to improve the working conditions of employees and the reception of customers. It thus meets the group’s ambitions to simplify the logistics made too difficult on three sites. The idea of bringing everything together in one place (machine inventory, spare parts and assembly) is intended to facilitate the work of technicians and meet the fast delivery requirements of customers. Employees will benefit from more space and comfort (meeting rooms, rooms dedicated to training, etc.).
Note that the headquarters of the company remains in Saint-Mandé (94), near Paris. The workforce in Ayze will be 24 people including 2 recently recruited under the new project. On the one hand, to improve the shipping of spare parts and machines. On the other hand, for the assembly of accessories. Service and application technicians must come to reinforce the team.
Beyond a building, a true technical center for customers
” The new building has been thought of as a true technical center,” explains Gilles Palefroy. This is primarily aimed at satisfying our customers in terms of sales, after-sales service and support. A 350 m2 showroom will permanently house Citizen and Miyano machines as well as the solutions of our main partners (barges, high-pressure pumps, cutting tools, accessories, …). Customers will be able to carry out, in complete confidentiality, tests on machines in a room dedicated to the tests then to check the machined parts in the “Control” room .
The space dedicated to the stock of spare parts and accessories has doubled in order to respond, as quickly as possible, to customer expectations for after-sales services. Close to the showroom and the test room, other areas dedicated to customer training (in maintenance or programming) were created, accommodating ten people simultaneously.
Inauguration and “Industry 4.0” Open Days
Open House days are organized on 27 and 28 November, with Industry 4.0 being the theme. Customers will be able to attend the presentation of technological innovations aimed at improving productivity and maintenance.
The inauguration of this Technical Center will take place on November 28, 2019, in the presence of the main political leaders of the region, Japanese and European leaders. This inaugural evening aims to thank the partners and loyal customers, under the sign of conviviality and Franco-Japanese animations. Of course, all the measures have been taken by Hestika France to enjoy the event safely.
